We have to ask ourselves has man broken God's law by creating hybrid and GMO seeds?
God says everything he has created shall reproduce after its own kind.
Genesis 1:11 And God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. In Genesis chapter one there is a law of God that is stated at least ten times that everything God has created will produce after its own kind. Everything is to produce, increase and multiply after its own kind.
If you plant avocados you are going to get avocados. If you plant broccoli you are going to get broccoli. A human will produce a human. A dog will produce a dog. It’s God’s ordered system, instituted and established by Him in creation. It’s a law of life that everything shall produce after its own kind!
Has mankind listened? No!
What has man been doing to the seed?
Man has been making hybrid and GMO seeds. A hybrid seed (or plant) is a cross between two or more unrelated inbred plants. Roses, Tomatoes and Sweet Corn are frequently cross bred to create hybrid varieties. Unlike hybrid seeds, GMO seeds are not created using natural, low-tech methods.
GMO seed varieties are created in a lab using high-tech and sophisticated techniques like gene splicing to include Herbicide-tolerant (HT) crops, which tolerate potent herbicides (such as glyphosate, glufosinate, and dicamba) and Insect-resistant crops, which contain genes from the soil bacterium Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) and produce insecticidal proteins. About 90% of corn and 94% of soybeans are GMO in the U.S.
Glyphosate, also known as Roundup, is a widely used herbicide on GMO crops. It has been registered as a pesticide in the U.S. since 1974. In May 2019 there was a $2 Billion Verdict Against Monsanto it’s third to find roundup caused cancer.
What are the consequences of going against what God has laid out as one of his laws? The truth is mankind is just beginning to see the real effects of GMO seeds. Although this is a disturbing truth, it is absolutely possible to avoid GMO foods and still eat well. Stay tuned for great information on how to do just that!
